Character history:
Daring Do is a fictional character in the My Little Pony Universe from a popular series of novels. In "Daring Do and the quest for the Sapphire Stone" Daring Do had an unfortunate crash landing due to exhaustion in a humid tropical jungle that damaged her wing. As such she was forced to walk through the rugged and dangerous landscape rather then fly over the canopy towards her goal. She had been searching for two months and determined not to give up.
On hoof she was easily tracked by a group of ferocious jungle cats (And one Kitten) who had intentions on rending her and enjoying a Pegasus feast. Quick thinking and agility saved the day as she escaped by leaping over the Kitten and racing through the jungle. A perilous swing across a gorge.
As luck would have it, the cats had chased her in the exact right direction and she found herself face to face with the temple she had been seeking!
Rushing into the temple Daring was confronted with a serious of deadly, dangerous and sometimes just annoying traps, Darts, fire, axes, spikes and even alligators. But a seasoned adventurer like Daring easily survived the gauntlet...with some minor damage and some fresh dart marks in her helmet.
The chamber of the Sapphire stone was however protected behind a more clever trap. A series of animals were displayed on the floor and one false step...as Daring discovered by tripping the trap with a rock, would bring a hail of darts upon the intruder. Daring studied the trap carefully to find the safe path across and was rewarded with the Sapphire Stone!
Feeling Cocky she nabbed the statue from it's pedestal and triggered the trap causing the temple to crumble and lava to rise nearly burning her to bits. Once again her agility was her saving grace. She sprang for the skylight in the treasure room and crawled her way out, being blown clear by a gust of steam. She was exhausted and weak when the beast known as Ahuitzotl confronted her. After some gloating he snatched the statue from her. He summons his cat minions from before and they overpower Daring Do lashing her to an alter in the tomb and leaving her to die in the trap. Spikes came out of the walls, spiders crawled over the spikes and snakes dropped from a statue's mouth into the room.
Using her hat as a projectile however Daring Do was able to reverse the trap by flipping the switch that had triggered it. Freeing herself Do returned to the jungle to track down Ahuitzotl and snatch the sapphire from his grasp. She raced into the sunset with the statue secured and the world safe from the wicked mechanizations of Ahuitzotl.
